A little more than three weeks after the PP proclaimed its new president, Alberto Núñez Feijóo is once again the most highly valued leader. Although citizens continue to fail all political leaders, Pablo Casado’s successor is close to a pass mark, being rated with a 4.6. He thus consolidates his position as the best valued above the president of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who drops in the polls to 4.3, tied with the second vice-president of the Government, Yolanda Díaz. This is the result of the latest DYM survey for 20minutos, carried out between April 20 and 22, 2022.
The position of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, also falls, although he remains in a more favorable situation than in previous surveys. If in March of this year the leader of the Executive was rated with a 3.9, in April the score dropped one tenth, to 3.8 (almost one point below Feijóo). He is followed by Íñigo Errejón (3.6), Inés Arrimadas (3.3) and Santiago Abascal (2.8), with the Minister for Social Rights and Agenda 2030, Ione Belarra (2.7), being relegated as the worst rated.
In general, the highest ratings have been given by the voters of the party represented by each leader. However, it is the ‘populares’ who give the best marks to their leaders: a 7.6 to Núñez Feijóo; and a 7.3 to Díaz Ayuso. The second vice-president of the Government, Yolanda Díaz, has also received good ratings from the voters of Unidas Podemos (7.5) and PSOE (6).
It is worth noting the good score that Díaz Ayuso receives from center and right-wing voters. She is, in fact, the leader who receives a more generalized positive score among the different voters: those who voted for her party, the PP, in the last elections, give her a 7.3; those of Vox rate her with a 6.6 (the second best valued among their supporters, after Abascal); and those of the orange formation even distinguish her more than their own leader, with a 5.4. In addition, Ciudadanos voters not only value Ayuso more than Arrimadas, but also rate the new ‘popular’ leader, Feijóo, better, with a 6, compared to 5 for Inés Arrimadas.
Only according to the ratings of those who voted for the PP in 2019, only Feijóo (7.6) and Ayuso approve. The leader of Vox, Santiago Abascal, who is also the third highest rated leader by the PP, with 4.8, narrowly fails.
